Student Recovery Coaching Program
(SRCP)

The Student Recovery Coaching Program (SRCP) offers strengths-based, one-on-one support for students navigating challenges related to substance use, recovery, or other barriers impacting their overall well-being and academic success.

The program was initially developed as an alternative to traditional school-based disciplinary actions, such as suspensions, and has since grown to address a broader range of student needs. This includes support for “affected others” (students impacted by someone else’s substance use) and self-referrals from students inspired by the positive changes they’ve seen in their peers and who now wish to make similar changes in their own lives.

Through confidential, individualized coaching sessions, students are empowered to set personal goals, build resilience, and navigate challenges both inside and outside of school. These sessions provide a safe space where students can explore their needs and aspirations without fear of judgment. Please note that while these meetings are private, all staff are mandated reporters and are required to report any disclosed abuse or harm involving a student.

SRCP has made a meaningful impact in students’ lives by fostering personal growth, improving coping skills, and helping students envision and work toward a healthier future. Coaches help students see their potential, tackle obstacles, and build the confidence they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

All referrals to the program must be initiated through a school point of contact. Parents who are interested in having their student participate should connect with the school to discuss eligibility and initiate the referral process.
