Supporting Recovery Through Financial Education
“By supporting those in recovery, and helping to end the stigma of recovery, we hope to help make the River Valley area healthier, safer, and more vibrant for everyone.”
-CEO/President, Joann Bisson
The Larry Labonte Recovery Center (LLRC) has established a partnership with Oxford Federal Credit Union (OFCU) focused on supporting the community through financial education and providing resources that can benefit individuals in recovery.
This partnership demonstrates LLRC's commitment to offering comprehensive recovery support, encompassing not only health and well-being but also financial independence.

Commitment to Recovery
OFCU’s partnership is instrumental to the mission of LLRC and the individuals we serve.
A significant outcome of this partnership is that the existing space of LLRC is designated as the OFCU Recovery Meeting Room, while the expanded space will serve as the new face of LLRC.
This transformation exemplifies our shared commitment to enhancing the well-being of our community.
Workshops & Financial Education
OFCU holds workshops at LLRC on various topics, including “It’s a Scam,” “Starting Over Financially,” and “Budgeting Workshop.”
These workshops are open to everyone in the community, not just those in recovery.
Understanding financial management is crucial for individuals in recovery, as many individuals in early recovery often seek to develop their understanding of budgeting and saving as they work toward stable employment.
